All right now...
Just wanted to put up a quick update of things going on around here. Swamp Drive (formerly Southern Drawl) had our first show in a few months Friday night up at Gatsby’s in Davie. I have to say, it was a pretty good show, just a little bit if rust, which I was really impressed by. Hopefully we’ll have a new show date there to tell you about in a few days. Swamp Drive’s next show is on the 24th of this month down in Homestead at the Peachtree Lounge. It’s been a long time since we’ve played down in that area, so I think it will be a fun night! We’re planning on continuing the revamping of our setlist, as well as FINALLY getting some of the original songs we have into the show. We have 2 new songs posted at the Swamp Drive Reverbnation page, and I will be adding a new song up there later today. We’re making progress with re-doing the lyrics and vocals on the songs from the Southern Drawl “Rebeluiton” album, and there are new songs starting to turn up as well. Make sure to check out our new “namesake” song, “Swamp Drive,” it is really cool!
Just got off the phone with Fred from Loveproof. It’s looking like there will be a show or 2 coming up in the next month or so. The setlist that we’re thinking about will be similar to what Fred and I did back with Train Of Thought, as well as some other stuff too. Fred and I are also planning on doing some writing as well. We’ll have to do some scheduling, but that could be a really good thing.
The project that I’ve been working on with Rich and Mike from the Inkognito days now has 7 90% completed songs, and they are starting to sound really awesome. I finished some lyrics and did a rough vocal track this morning and sent it off to the guys to see what they think. I can’t tell you how cool it is that I’m working with them again. I know it’s still a ways off, but I can’t wait to have some finished songs for you to hear! I have 2 more songs that I have to do lyrics and vocals to, and then we’re continuing to write more material.
I finished up the “solo” album project that I was working on this summer! It’s a 10 song album that I’m calling “At This Time.” I have the songs posted at my Reverbnation page, so go check them out. The songs are 99% acoustic songs, would have been totally acoustic, but I had to use my electronic kit! I’m really happy with how the songs came out, especially the song “Won’t Change.” That one really came out great I have to say. I’m planning on putting podcasts of all my solo projects up here in the next few months, and that is the first album I’m going to work on. I’m also going to get new videos up here as well. With Swamp Drive doing some original stuff here soon, I’m going to try to get the original songs filmed and put here and at my other sites, as well as getting some new pics here too. I’ve got all sorts of plans to make this site even cooler, so stay tuned for new stuff coming here very soon!
That is all...TB
