So here it is, January 29, or as I call it, "Delusion Day." Main reason being today is the anniversary of my old band Inkognito releasing our album "Abuse Your Delusion 1 1/2." It was only 100 copies, and the date likely is only important to me, but that's okay. Recording that album with Mike and Rich and playing with them is still some of the best highlights of my musical life so far. I always make a point to break that album out and listen to it a few times around this time of year, I always come back with a couple thoughts...first, those songs are still great. They really have aged well for the most part. Second, like I already said, how much FUN Inkognito was! I have a few clips up at my youtube page, so check them out if you get a chance.
The last couple of weeks have been fairly busy with school and writing. Have a few songs in various stages of completion for the school band going, I'm hoping to have them done in the next few weeks, so that the band can get a head start on them. Dirk Diggler had a gig at Cagney's fall through for this weekend, which sucks, but some things are out of our control sometimes. DD's next show is February 16 at Cafe 27, and I'm hoping that my new bass will finally be here before that!
IN TRIAD NEWS...
Scott and I tried out a couple of drummers today, and we'll be making an official announcement on FB in the next few days...we have our drummer, and the band will be returning to live action very soon! FINALLY!!!! There will likely be a partial revamp of the setlist, and hopefully some other cool surprises for the new show as well. I'll have more to report in the next few days...
Off to bed now...
