It's been a roller coaster ride so far for 2018, with a little bit of everything: good, bad, strange, you name it.
The good? Well, it looks like Triad will be finally going back into rehearsals to get back out on the road here in the next couple weeks. I'm hoping that we'll also have an almost totally new setlist for the new shows as well. I'll keep you posted as things develop on this front.
My "Second String Quartet" is streaming on my reverberation.com/timbirkett site, and it's gotten some good responses, so I'm pretty please with that!
My first acoustic show in many years went really well, and I'll be doing a few more, with one already on the calendar for April 27. Really happy about that. I hope to have a few more dates set up in the coming months.
The Strange? There is weird things going on the DD camp, not sure how things are going to go there. The "day job" continues to be a challenge, but I think there may be a light at the end of the tunnel...hopefully it's not a freight train!
The Bad? My mom passed away. Cancer sucks.
That event has also kinda given me the kick in the ass to get my music out into the world even more now, as well as some other things that I should probably change in my life. I have a list of things that I want to accomplish, and my mom's passing has been a statement that we're only here for a short time relatively, so you better make the most of it.
That is all...TB
