Been a while since I've been able to do a good update here, so let me take the time to get everyone up to speed where I'm at with my projects...
DIRK DIGGLER:
We just played a BARNBURNER of a gig at Cafe 27 this past Sunday. Easily one of the top 5 best shows we've ever played so far. We played our tails off and had a GREAT audience and reaction. One thing that contributed to the playing was the fact that between the 5 of us, none of us managed to bring a setlist, so we had to do a bit of "fly by the seat of our pants" when it came to song selection, and because of that there was a different kind of energy that we haven't had in a while. After the show, we were all talking about that, and also decided that it's time to start shaking the setlist up a little bit. We're planning on getting together before our next show (February 14 at Cafe 27) to brainstorm some new adds into the show. Can't wait to see what we come up with!
TRIAD:
Triad ended the year where we started the year, at Cafe 27 on the 26th! We also had one of our best shows of the year. Just one of those gigs where just about everything clicks, and things sound and turn out really good. Triad starts out 2016 with a return to the Mutineer on January 8 from what I understand. I'm pretty sure that we'll also be looking into revamping our setlist a bit as well. I have a few ideas of songs that I'd like to do with this band, so it will be cool to see if I can get that to happen.
In the last 2 weeks I've been approached by 2 other bands about playing with them, which is pretty cool. I may do some subbing with one band, but not both of them I think. I have enough on my plate at the moment!
Finally settled into the new house, and my little studio is just about ready to get to work. I have to do a couple computer upgrades and I'll be be back up and running, hopefully by the end of the week. I already have started composing songs for my band at the "day job," and I'm shooting to have a couple songs ready to rehearse by the end of my little vacation here. Just boils down to having the time in the day to sit and be creative. If all goes well, Triad will also be using the garage here as a new practice pad, so that should help with getting new songs and hopefully original songs as well going into that band's show.
As I get things up and running here, I'll be hopefully getting to the other projects that I've been doing stuff with over the last few years and maybe getting some of them done as well!! In the meantime, I'm going to be uploading some new pics and videos here hopefully this week, so stay tuned my friends...
We made it through 2015 in one piece, here's to full speed ahead for 2016!!
That is all…TB
