Had 2 shows with Dirk Diggler this week up at Cafe 27. I told you about the one on Sunday, and we played there again on Thursday. The second show was just as fun as the Sunday show! Great crowd, and add on top of that that Thursday is their weekly "bikini contest" and you have a recipe for a great time! It is a blast to play with Dirk Diggler, as all of the musicians in the band are great players and singers. We will be returning to Cafe 27 on March 20, with hopefully more dates to come as well. Thanks to everyone who came out and also to the great staff at Cafe 27! If you've never been there, it's definitely worth the trip!
Well, here's the story with Eli Cash at the moment. As I mentioned last time, it appears that Eric has a new band that he is going to be doing as a side band, and that was the band that played at WOB last night. It appears that it won't interfere with many Eli Cash shows, so there shouldn't be anything to worry about. Our show tonight at the Mutineer is going on as planned, and things should be good to go from here out. I should have our March gig schedule here in a few days, so keep an eye out.
I also can tell you about 2 fill-in gigs that I have coming up. On Friday, I will be heading down to Key Largo to fill in with the band Chameleon at Snooks, and I will be sitting in with Stalking Mildred in March as well. It's been a good start to the year in the gigs department, that's for sure! Hopefully this pace will keep up for a while!
I also have a couple other things in the works as well. My studio projects with my old Inkognito bandmates has been slow going, but that's okay as we don't have a timeline for it. I'm also going to be doing some writing with my friend Bob, who was in the last version of 'nito before I moved to Miami. In addition, I have a couple other things in the works as well that should keep me busy for the foreseeable future, and that's a good thing! As always, check the gig calendar and check back for any other news that may come up…
That is all…TB
