Taking it a little easy here at the homestead today, but I am going to be posting a couple new songs over at my Reverbnation and Soundcloud pages later today, I have to listen to the mixes and see if I'm happy with them. I may also continue work on recording guitar tracks on the batch of songs that I've been working on the last few weeks. I have 8 songs left to do guitars on, then I have to get to work on song lyrics and guitar solos, and any other extra parts that the songs may need. I have a few other new ideas that I've come up with in the last week, but I haven't put those down just yet. I want to try to get this batch of songs pretty much done before I pile on more songs to this album project just yet. I'm going to be doing some work on the new Conspiracy Inc. project as well as some lyrics for the project with Mike and Rich. I'm trying to get a good amount of work done while I'm still on summer break so I'm not going crazy once the "Day Job" starts up again.
My gig schedule this week is open mic at Little Hoolies on Thursday, and then Eli Cash has 2 shows this weekend. On Friday night we are having our debut show at the Mutineer, and then on Saturday night we return to Black Point for another show. Both places have a cool atmosphere, and I'm looking forward to both shows. Dirk Diggler returns to live action in a couple weeks when we host open mic at Little Hoolies for a couple weeks, and the next confirmed full show is September 26 back up at Cafe 27. Dirk Diggler will be hosting open mic at Little Hoolies on a semi regular basis for a while, I will let ya know what dates they will be. Granted, I'm there just about every week at Little Hoolies, so you'll always have a chance to see me play there.
Also get to go see Black Sabbath this Wednesday night. It's going to be my 4th time seeing them ('95, '97, and '07 even though that last one was technically Heaven and Hell), and really looking forward to it. Very cool to be able to see basically the band that invented metal. Hard to believe they are still playing and creating great new music. If you haven't heard their new album, I definitely recommend it! And then, on the 18th I get to see my idols KISS for the 15th time (!!) on the night before the "Day Job" starts up! Gotta love it!
That is all...TB
