As you can see, I'm not doing great with timely updates, and I will try to get better at them as I'm going along. The "day job" is in full swing, and it's been keeping me pretty busy, especially with some after school stuff that I am doing this year. In the meantime, here is the latest update on what I've been doing...
LIMEROCK:
We've been chugging along at a good pace, lots of shows, and new songs creeping into the show. I've been made "setlist guru" for the band, and I'm working on having a fair amount of variety in the shows so that if you see us it's a slightly different show from the one before it. I'm actually having fun doing the setlist too. This week we're gearing up for a really cool show up at Roland Martin's Marina Tiki Bar in Clewiston. It's gonna be a big Halloween party/costume contest, and I'm looking forward to it. Apparently Limerock used to go and play this event every year up until the "plague," and we missed it last year due to some scheduling issues. The guys are all looking forward to it and they tell me I'm gonna have a blast. November and December sees us return to the Redland Golf and Country Club for a couple dates, as well as returns to JP Mulligans (y'all were awesome this last Friday), Lorelei, and a New Year's Eve daytime show at Cafe 27 to close out the year!
ELECTRIC MAYHEM:
We've been a little slow in the shows department, but there are several shows coming up in November and December. It also looks like there will also be a new drummer coming on board, I'll know more about that probably this week and I'll let you know. The duo project with Daisy and I is still going on, in fact we found out a couple weeks ago that Whale Harbor is extending our monthly booking there all the way through 2024! I'll be posting those dates in the next few weeks, so keep an eye out. Once the new drummer is in place, you can be sure that there will be a complete revamp of the setlist and the show for us. Gonna be fun moving forward...
OTHER PROJECTS:
Nothing new to report on any of the other projects that I'm working on at this point. I have a week off coming up in November from the "day job," and I'm going to use it to try to nail down a few things for 2024, as well as try to start writing a new solo album, or at least get the process started. I've been getting good responses for "The Impossibility Of Silence" and I'm finally starting to think about how I'm gonna top it! Other than that, it's been busy with non music stuff as well as the gig schedule. My November and December are stacked, plus there is a trip to NYC in December for me as well.
As most of you already know, I'm a MASSIVE KISS fan going back to when I was 6 years old, and I've seen them 20 times and I've met them on a couple of occasions. I'm actually going to NYC to be in Madison Square Garden for their final show on December 2. I'm really looking forward to it, even though it's probably going to be a bittersweet experience. Only going to be up there for a few days, so hopefully I'm going to get to do a little sightseeing there as well, gonna try to hit some KISS related spots there. I'll probably do a story of that trip for "The Woodshed" when I get back from it.
Hope you're all doing well, and hopefully see you at a show...
THAT IS ALL...TB
